Principles

Our form of government has been flipped upside down. The principles for our form of government are spelled out in our "Declaration of Independence" , our State Constitutions and the Constitution for the united States of America. The Creator created the People , the People created our States, People and the States created the federal government. Instead today the federal government and its agents act as if they were "gods" bullying, bribing and terrorizing the States and the People. We must reverse this. We believe the Plan the Committees of Safety have laid out will do just that and will restore our Republic lawfully and peacefully.

STRUCTURE:

Because opponents of the Committees of Safety may attempt to disrupt the activities through infiltration, agents provocateurs, and other troublemakers, that may try to lead us away from our primary purpose, we will be using 12 "spiritual principles" that have been around for quite a while and will work well for the Committees of Safety, they are as follows:

  1. Our common welfare depends on our unity. Individual liberty, yet great unity. As an organization Committees of Safety are not allied with any political party or religious organization. We as a group will focus on what unites us rather than what divides us. Individuals are free to believe whatever they want but the primary purpose of the Committees of Safety will be educating our neighbors and legislators while gaining community support through our petitions and pledges, then working with our State legislators in writing statutes that provide for the "security of a free State".
  2. For our group purpose there is one ultimate authority-a loving God as He may express Himself in our group conscience. Our leaders are trusted servants; they do not govern. Each Committee of Safety elects a chairman, a secretary and a treasurer by group conscience (a show of hands) to serve for a limited time (usually 3-6 months). Those individuals starting a county Committee of Safety would initially serve in those positions until the group is large enough to elect new officers.
  3. There are no dues or fees for becoming a volunteer, You are not required to contribute financially to become a volunteer, but we count on your support to carry on the work at the national headquarters of the Committees of Safety.
  4. Each group is autonomous except in matters affecting other groups or the Committees of Safety as a whole. Each group manages its own affairs as it pleases, except when the Committees of Safety as a whole is threatened.
  5. Each group has one primary purpose -educating our neighbors and legislators while gaining community support through our petitions and pledges, then working with our State legislators in writing statutes that provide for "the security of a free State".
  6. Every Committee of Safety group ought never endorse, finance, or lend the Committee of Safety name to any related facility or outside enterprise, lest problems of money, property, and prestige divert us from our primary purpose.
  7. Every Committee of Safety group ought to be fully self-supporting, declining outside contributions.
  8. Committees of Safety is a non-professional, not-for profit organization, but we do have expenses and depend on support from our groups. We are asking the group meetings to pass a basket, keeping 90% of what collect for group expenses and send the remaining 10% to Committees of Safety.org for their expenses.
  9. The Committees of Safety have an advisory board directly responsible to those they serve. They will make available the literature and DVD's for members and groups.
  10. The Committees of Safety has no opinion on outside issues; hence the Committees of Safety name ought never be drawn into public controversy.
  11. Our public relations policy is based on attraction rather than promotion; volunteers are free to speak for themselves but not as a spokesperson for the Committees of Safety at the level press, radio, and TV (except with the permission from the Committees of Safety Advisory Board) We seek publicity for the Committees of Safety's principles not individual volunteers.
  12. Anonymity is the spiritual foundation of all our traditions, ever reminding us to place principles before personalities.
